So this is totes my pirate OC for ~PinaPapo's pirate crew thing.

She needed some members. SO I DECIDED TO MAKE DIS GURL A NAVIGATOR. BEST DARN NAVIGATOR TO SAIL THE SEAS. //shot

lmao here's a bit about him;

Name: Tane Caltagirone

Brief Bio: Tane was born into a low class family, because of income problems sometimes their family had to resort to stealing food and occasionally con people out of their hard-earned money. From a young age Tane had a great sense of direction and never really got lost.

When he got older he started drawing maps when he and his father went out onto sea to go fish so they would never become lost. Although his maps weren't exactly perfect as far as lines and details, they were quite accurate. Because of this, Tane's family started to sell his maps.

This made Tane rather sad because he made the maps for his family and all they really cared about was money, he was happy they were able to afford food and drink, but it still hurt his pride. One day a group of pirates ransacked their port, a couple of the crew showed the maps to their captain. The Captain made an offer to the family that they would leave if they would give up Tane and in return they'd get a lot of money.

Without skipping a beat Tane's father gave up his son to the pirates.

For quite some time Tane was stuck aboard the pirate's ship, making maps and swabbing the decks. Overtime he grew accustomed to his pirate life and felt it was better than what he had at home. Tane eventually escaped the Pirate's ship (when he was older) and set off on his own. He eventually joined a new crew and is quite content with it's shipmates and Captain.

Personality; Tane is a man of few words and doesn't really talk that much unless he's needed to, or when giving orders as far as navigation goes. He's calm and collected more than half of the time but is known to have a short temper.

He takes great pride in his navigation and when someone tells him he's wrong he ignores them and keeps going his course. Tane is quite bitter when it comes to "family" and doesn't really like to talk about it, actually he just hates it when people bring up family in general.

Tane is quite loyal to his crew and Captain, however at the chance to earn more he will jump ship while the getting is good.

Position: Ship Master / Sailing Master ; He is the officer who is in charge of navigation and the sailing of the ship. He directs the course and looks after the maps and instruments necessary for navigation. Tane writes out maps and often updates the current ones they have.


Other Facts;
+When Tane was younger, his mother died and was given her pocket watch as a keepsake, while it doesn't actually work anymore he keeps it close to his person.
+Tane hates being proved wrong, he always wants to believe He's right.
+He fiddles with his pocket watch when he's nervous.
